NatureFest 2021: Wrap Up
The official attendance count for NatureFest 2021 was 610! That's a really great number for this event. The weather was just what we ordered. At the end of the day, all exhibitors were exhausted, but in a good way.
If you were able to attend, THANK YOU for your support; if you didn't get a chance to come out, you missed a fun way to learn about nature and Runnymede Park. Stay tuned for the 2022 date to be announced. In the meantime, be sure to come and walk the park - Runnymede is beautiful in any season but autumn is especially lovely!
Bird Walks are Back!
Friends of Runnymede Park are happy to announce that Bird Walks are back on the calendar. Each 2nd Saturday of the month, you are invited to meet with volunteers from Friends of Runnymede Park and other bird enthusiasts for a bird walk. Meet at the parking lot of the main entrance on Herndon Parkway at 8AM. Be sure to bring some binoculars and be dressed for the weather and for potential mud if there has been rain recently. Insect repellent is a good idea in spring and summer. The walk typically ends by 10AM at the latest.
www.frpweb.org is the main website of the Friends of Runnymede Park, which is a non-profit organization based in the town of Herndon, Virginia, USA.
